Very good resource for looking at and learning to read xrays.

This book is amazing! I wish I had it during residency. Trying to learn it all now since I have to read my own X-rays at night. I am not a radiologist and finding a good resource to review the basics is challenging. This book is fantastic. Also organized in such a matter I will able to use at work. I purchased this book as a new graduate from med school as I began my first job at the emergency department. Although the radiologist officially reads the x-rays, I wanted to be more knowledgable and have the patient's chart completed in order to page the orthopedic department for consult instead of waiting around for the radiologist's impression. I read the book on the plane while on a vacation and found it an easy read. There is a summary at then end of each chapter to review important points or tips- helpful.

Jon Kieffer (MEF-CECP) is a principal technical writer working for Fujitsu Network Communications since 2001. Previous to that, Jon taught software engineering at the University of Hull, U.K., and mechanical engineering at the Australian National University. Jon holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering and has authored 12 refereed journal articles and more than 30 conference papers in the fields of mechanical and controls engineering. The MEF has recognized Jon as an outstanding contributor for contributions to the MEF-CECP program in 2013, 2014 and 2015. In 2015, Jon received the MEF Marketing Committee Editors Award for co-editing the MEF white paper Understanding Bandwidth Profiles in MEF 6.2 Service Definitions. Yongchao Fan (CCIE R&S #6369) is a product support engineer working for Fujitsu Network Communications since 1999 and previously worked for IBM as a global services engineer. Yongchao holds BS and MS degrees in computer science and has extensive experience with various networking technologies and real-world networks.
